Life with the Lowthers

My name is Elsa.  I am 6 1/2 years old. 

This year I have lost a lot of teeth.  I have lost 6 teeth and I have lots of gaps! This is me with gaps.

This year we went to France - twice!!  France was very hot the first time we went because there was a heat wave.  I caught measles when we were there but I didn't get ill til we were home.  I liked the cottage the first time best.  This is it.

The second time we went to France there was a swimming pool and I really liked it, and there was an albino cat.  We dug a huge tunnel on the beach and we could walk through it.  And it was called "Slice on the Sea" (La Tranche sur Mer). There was a lovely ice cream shop and a beautiful beach, and we made sandcastles but mine never really survived.

This is a hermit crab. There were lots and lots of them at La Tranche.  We also went to an island called Ile de Re.  We had very fun times there.  I like France a lot.

I also went to Scotland wild camping in April and we had lots of eggs and we met our friends Laura and Amy (like on my last web page).

I am very happy being home schooled.  It's nice because you get a lot more play time than you would at school, and Mummy likes it because you get to see your children.  My favourite topic was Egyptians and we mummified a real chicken.  We put in salt and herbs lots of times to try him out and then we wrapped him in bandages and put him in a coffin and he is still in our cellar and it's really quite amazing that he's not smelling at all.
