Hello. I am Joel I am 12 and I am home schooled. I have a mum called Sally, a dad called Jason, a little brother called Toby and 2 little sisters called Kirsten and Elsa.

On the 7th of September it was my 12th birthday. I had it in Scarborough with my family, cousins and grandma and grandad. My favourite present was a laptop. I went to the national railway museum in York and my favourite bit was watching the trains go by on the signal box monitors in "the works".

I can ride a horse and have lessons once a week (when the weather permits). I can walk trot and canter without a lead rein. We are hoping that the council will set up a indoor school for when it is raining. I ride at Hole Farm riding stables in Woodgate Valley country park.

I am singing in the riverside 'carols in the city' choir for the first time (though I have sung in the children's choir before).

In the late summer we bought a tent for some fair weather camping we camped in it 2 or 3 times but then mum lent it to are cousins they then took it out in gale force winds and snapped several of the main poles. We have only just got it fixed.

My favourite thing this year was the festival of history. It is a big event with re-enactments and camps from lots of different times. My favourite bit is the Romans they have always interested me because they were so advanced for their time.
